Swiss-Russian joint venture Royal Wood is a modern timber processing company manufacturing high quality planed construction and finishing lumber products (moisture 8-18%, KD S4S). Royal Wood production complex is located in the settlement of Bolshoy Lug, 40 km distant from Irkutsk, the industrial center of Russian Eastern Siberia. This location allows us to combine a natural quality of Siberian wood with advanced European technology.

The top priority of Royal Wood is not just high quality but also truly ecological end product. To achieve this goal we use up-to-date engineering solutions based on high technology and innovations with full consideration for the environment. Our boiler operates entirely on waste products and scraps, such as wood chips, sawdust and cuttings. The water is used in the closed circuit. In our production process we use larch and red pine from the cleanest areas of Northern part of Lake Baikal, banks of Angara river, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions where extreme climate gives the lumber its strength and durability.

The initial capital of Royal Wood is 150 million rubles (about US$ 5.4 million) and from the Swiss part it is filled up with technological equipment. High speed planer WACO MAXI (feed speed up to 200 m/min.), band resaw WACO BKW TWIN (feed speed up to 80 m/min.), automatic processing, sorting and packing line of Almab, Sweden, the boiler (4Mwt) and the kiln drying complex (8X120m³) of Hekotek, Estonia - all have been individually designed and manufactured.

Flexibility of our equipment allows us to make a wide range of profiles and sizes suitable for various markets (width 30 - 300 mm, thickness 10 -150 mm, length up to 6 m., processed surface class 200DL (170-250)). The production capacity is up to 100 000 m³ of finished goods annually.
